International School to Open in Hua Hin in August 2015
Next year, Hua Hin International School (HHIS) will become to the International School in Hua Hin. At a site adjacent to the Black Mountain Water Park, HHIS has been designed to accommodate up to 1,000 children from ages 2 to 18.
The School. Designed by the Beaumont Partnership, will follow the UK curriculum for students up to 16 year old, with the International Baccalaureate Diploma programmed available thereafter to age 18.
Construction is being undertaken in three stages, beginning with Early Years/Primary faculties and progressing through each educational stage. At full completion, the school expects to be registered as IGCSE and International Baccalaureate Examination Centres. This qualification is welcomed as a university entrance qualification is welcomed as a university entrance qualification throughout the world.
The school will be set in a beautiful green garden with ample space for rich outdoor educational and recreational activities. The facilities will be thoughtfully designed and include playing field, sports fields, basketball court, swimming pool equipment, children’s vegetable garden etc. Teaching blocks will provide spacious, well-eauipped classrooms as well as an art room, library, ICT suite, Thai room, music room and dining halls. Middle and High School will also have specialist facilities and equipment for subjects such as science, technology, art and music/drama.
All teachers will be highly qualified native English speaking expatriates who will be recuited directly from the UK.
